KPMG

Digital application

Edgar Navarro Soto, Director of Innovation at KPMG, approached Kubo with a crucial requirement: the need for an application that would allow for booking workstations and meeting rooms, as well as managing access to the premises. At the time, KPMG was adopting a hybrid work model and had significantly reduced its physical workspaces, making it essential to have a digital solution for the efficient management of available resources.

Technical challenge

One of the main technical challenges we faced when developing this application was the integration with KPMG's Active Directory. This process involved ensuring that the application could securely and accurately access Active Directory information to manage desk and meeting room bookings, as well as control employee entry into the premises.

In addition, the app needed to integrate with KPMG's facility entry system. Since employees log in directly with their company credentials, it was critical that the app could effectively interact with this system to validate users' identity and allow them to access reserved spaces safely and efficiently.

Technological solution

To address these challenges, our development team worked closely with KPMG's IT team to ensure a seamless integration with Active Directory and the facility entry system. Robust security measures were implemented to protect sensitive information and ensure the privacy of employee data.

In addition to the basic functionality of booking desks and meeting rooms, the app also offered additional features such as viewing real-time availability, notification of confirmed bookings, and the ability to manage last-minute changes.
