Digital application

Edgar Navarro Soto, Director of Innovation at KPMG, approached Kubo with a crucial requirement: the need for an application to reserve workstations and boardrooms, as well as manage access to the facilities. At the time, KPMG was adopting a hybrid work model and had significantly reduced its physical workspaces, which made it essential to have a digital solution for the efficient management of available resources.

One of the main technical challenges we faced in developing this application was integration with KPMG's active directory. This process involved ensuring that the application could securely and accurately access active directory information to manage workstation and boardroom reservations, as well as to control employee entry to the facility.

In addition, the application needed to integrate with KPMG's on-site login system. Since employees log in directly with their company credentials, it was critical that the application could effectively interface with this system to validate users' identities and allow them to access reserved spaces securely and efficiently.

The project developed by Kubo allowed KPMG Colombia to have a tool to manage its physical resources, which: which:

  • Optimizes resource management, allowing to improve costs and processes.
  • Implements an efficient process for the reservation of jobs and meeting rooms.
  • Facilitates the access of the floating population to the company's resources.

To address these challenges, our development team worked in close collaboration with the KPMG IT team to guarantee an integration without problems with the active directory and the entrance system to the facilities.

In addition to the basic functionality of reserve of jobs and joint rooms, the application also offered additional characteristics, such as the visualization of real -time availability, notification of confirmed reserves and the ability to manage last minute changes.
